Volunteers will need to arrive on the day of the event at 8:30am. If you are able to show up the day before the event for training between noon and 4pm, we do prefer that.

Can I come late?
Please make the effort to arrive at your scheduled time.

What if I have to leave early?
Please be sure to let the volunteer coordinator know if you need to leave early.

Will I receive training?
Training is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED because of the one-on-one nature of the event, it is important for you to have an understanding of your role and the services offered so that you can help clients as much as possible.

Advance training sessions are still to be determined; more information will be available in the coming weeks.

What if I can’t attend an advance training?
Please contact us for an alternate training time.

In order to put on a successful event we will need 15-20 volunteers.

What can I expect?
Volunteers will be given training on some specific duties, but some volunteers will also be expected to be “guides” for the homeless to get from tent to tent.

All volunteers must be 18 or older.

What should I bring to the event?
Bring ONLY what you need. Don’t bring valuables. No secure storage is available for volunteers’ belongings.

Wear comfortable, casual clothing; sneakers or other comfortable shoes are recommended. Short-sleeved event t-shirts are provided for all volunteers. If you do not receive your t-shirt prior to the event, be sure to wear something that you can easily where under your t-shirt.
